What We Believe…

ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and men were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the words of Scripture.

ABOUT GOD – THE TRINITY

God exists in three distinct expressions (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the least, the last, and the lost.

ABOUT GOD THE FATHER

God is holy and great, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, unchanging, and totally worthy of our trust. In Him we live, serve, and exist. God is good: He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST THE SON

Jesus Christ is completely human, but also completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people far from God into a right relationship with Him. Jesus lived a perfect life to pay the penalty for our sinfulness. He defeated death by His resurrection so we could live in heaven forever.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

His presence assures our fellowship with Christ. He guides us into truth and rightness with Christ. He convicts us of sin. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and leads us in ways that enable a more Christ-like life.

ABOUT MANKIND

Man was created in the image of God, to praise Him and carry out His call upon us. Man is personally unable to restore the correctness of the relationship with God.

ABOUT SALVATION

Jesus Christ, died on the cross to provide the only way of salvation. Salvation takes place as people place their trust in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God alone, initiated and fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and it cannot be earned through any other means.

ABOUT ETERNITY

Man was created to exist forever in fellowship with the triune God. Humanity will either exist together with God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, or be eternally alienated from God by sin. To be eternally together with Him is Heaven. To be eternally alienated from God is hell.

ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIFE

Every Christian should live to praise God, carry out the will of God as each is personally called, and be transformed into the image of Christ. When we fail, we lift one another up, recalibrate our focus, learn from the mistake, and move on.

ABOUT THE CHURCH

The Church is a community of believers united by faith in Christ, committed to the teachings of Christ, and obedient to taking the Gospel of Christ into the world. The Church is the bride of Christ.
